Conceit

It is conceit that kills us
and makes us cowards instead of gods.

Under the great Command: Know thy self, and that thou art mortal!
we have become fatally self-conscious, fatally self-important, fatally entangled in the Laocoön coils of our conceit.

Now we have to admit we can't know ourselves, we can only know about ourselves.
And I am not interested to know about myself any more,
I only entangle myself in the knowing.

Now let me be myself,
now let me be myself, and flicker forth,
now let me be myself, in the being, one of the gods.

My Heart Has Reasons, But Reasons Don't Understand!!!

Reject me not if I should say to you
I do forget the sounding of your voice,
I do forget your eyes that searching through
The mists perceive our marriage, and rejoice.

Yet, when the apple-blossom opens wide
Under the pallid moonlight’s fingering,
I see your blanched face at my breast, and hide
My eyes from diligent work, malingering.

Ah, then, upon my bedroom I do draw
The blind to hide the garden, where the moon
Enjoys the open blossoms as they straw
Their beauty for his taking, boon for boon.

And I do lift my aching arms to you,
And I do lift my anguished, avid breast,
And I do weep for very pain of you,
And fling myself at the doors of sleep, for rest.

And I do toss through the troubled night for you,
Dreaming your yielded mouth is given to mine,
Feeling your strong breast carry me on into
The peace where sleep is stronger even than wine.

Size of Indian Journalism

Television media has become feudal I personally feel so people of the country have been reduced to vassals. Politicians, industry and high value individuals have taken over the whole setup. Journalese are no different the class and quality have been cut to size. Today the state of media is deplorable and rather than showing meat its seems it is more into flesh trade.

What mockery is it to have background scores for the news. At least DD News is still an exception to the norm that private channels have stuccoed. Death, Mishaps, Robbery, Wedding, Funeral, Political drama, Melodrama and all classes have music ready. What they miss is Grammy Nomination; hopefully the committee will soon have that category too. The camera work reminds u 21 inch screen is not the best fit, may be one day 70mm will stage news here.

As compared to Indian media; their far cousins are better. The news anchors don’t ask silly questions and show empathy with what has occurred. The representation also seems to be aggrandized and comprehensive.

Something that also stymies the muse of people is the dissembling actions of presenters. Some of them act like Robert De Niro is under their skin; ladies compare themselves to Julia Roberts. The most hilarious are the crime reporters who seems to have passed out of FTII and couldn’t make it to celluloid so turned up with reporting. World survived before they were into existence and will always be there, but their understanding is thwarted. The dialogue delivery controls your heartbeat, which should rather be convincing than being intimidating.

So now this season u have wedding gala(Oh! I m Sorry Abhishek Bachchan is not the one from Mardi Gras ) but making a travesty of this event, our beloved executioners in media, are good at it.Now in few days u will come to know who is going to eat what and then vomit on the steward standing next, which Designer has been made to work for showing the most essential in good order and still confirming to conventions of sexual behavior. Then there would be Pandits, who will be learning the Purans, Upnishads, Geeta and what not, in all good belief to earn what has been their dream since birth. The whole state machinery will be on altar and Amar Singh will be showering flowers on guests. This is good opportunity for people to prove their honesty and dedication to first family of the state.Aishwarya, God knows is she sincerely going to marry or is this all fake, does she spare thought for Salman and Vivek, who are now brother in arms, for what all they have done, as all paramours do. Its a fallacy now going Abhi's way.But i m pretty sure this is going to be a treat to watch, and dont forget to catch the whole issue EXCLUSIVELY with Indian Visual Media. Is there something more important....Dont tell me....They dont understand that...Hopefully CNBC wont be a party to this...coz Mukesh Ambani is a share holder in Channel and how come he can share enough space with Anil.

To be Cont...

Kabhi-Kabhi!!!

kabhi kabhi mere dil mein khayal aata hai

ke zindagi teri zulfon ki narm chaon mein

guzarne pati to SHADAB ho bhi sakti thi

ye TIRAGI jo mere ZIST ka muqaddar hai

teri nazar ki SHUAON mein kho bhi sakti thi

ajab na tha ke main BEGANA-ILM hokar

tere JAMAL ki RANAION mein kho rahta

tera GADAZ badan teri NEEM BAAZ aankhen

inheen haseen FAZAOON mein main hoh rahta

pukarteen mujhe jab TALKHIYAN zamane ki

tere labon se HALAWAT ke ghoont pe leta

HAYAT cheekhti phirti BAREHNA-SAR aur mein

GHANERI zulfon ke saaye mein chup ke jee leta

magar yeh ho na saka,

magar yeh ho na saka aur ab yeh aalam hai

ke tu nahin tera gham teri JUSTJOO bhi nahin

guzar rahi hai kuch is tarah zindagi jaise

ise kisi ke sahare ki aarzoo bhi nahin

zamaane bhar ke dukhon ko laga chuka hoon gale

guzar raha hoon kuch anjani RAHGUZARON se

MUHIB SAAYE meri SIMAT bharte aate hain

HAYAT-O-MOUT ke PUR-HAUL KHAR-ZARON se

na koi JADAH na manzil na roshni ka suragh

bhatak rahi hai KHALON mein zindagi meri

inheen KHALON mein rah jaaonga kabhi kho kar

main jaanta hoon meri HUMNAFAS magar yunhi

kabhi kabhi mere dil mein khayal aata hai

Jaine woh kaise log the???

jaane vo kaise log the jinke
pyaar ko pyaar mila
humne to jab kaliyaa maangi
kaanto ka haar mila

khushiyo ki manzil dhundhi toh
gam ki gard mili
chaahat ke nagme chaahe toh
aanhe sard mili
dil ke bojh ko dhundhlaa kar gayaa jo gamkhaar milaa

bichhad gaya… bichhad gayaa har saathi dekar
pal do pal kaa saath
kisko fursat hai jo thaame deevaano ka haath
humko apna saaya tak aqsar bezaar milaa

isiko hi jeena kehate hain toh
yuunhi jee lenge
uf na karenge lab si lenge
aansu pi lenge
gam se ab ghabraana kaisa, gam sau baar milaa
humne to jab kaliyaa maangi kaaton kahaar milaa

jaane vo kaise log the jinke pyaar ko pyaar mila
