The Tiger sandals!!!

I went to buy some cool sandals as Delhi summer was approaching, to a big mall in Noida. After visiting Three strip store, a Check mark store, I landed up at the Tiger store. One pair of sandals immediately caught my attention, I liked them so much that I wanted to buy them at once. My wife held me back, and told me she could buy the same stuff at half the price, given some time to put in some research on e-space. My apprehension was, the pair was in Fresh arrival category and I didn't believe she could get the same model, cheap. But, who has ever won over a lady, leave alone your better half.
After a weeks time she was able to find the same pair of sandals on a e-commerce website at 70% of its actual price. I insisted that I buy it right away, she was still adamant that the same thing could be bought at half its price at store, which of course, I did not agree to. She asked me to be a little patient and we could get a good deal. Then, a week later on one of the e-retailer she could find the same flying Tiger Sandals at one-third its actual price. I just could not believe what was happening in e-commerce space. How could they sell something that is new to market in store at such a high price and the same thing is being sold on a website at 1/3 its price, just after 2 weeks of its launch. As I was still not able to digest the fact and said that this could just possibly be the copy of what actual product is, my better half said, lets give it a try, if the product is fake we will return it the same day.
I received the product after 2-3 days and was amazed to see, the package not only had bill from e-retailer but also from flying Tiger. Sandals felt the same, they were quite comfortable and great in design.
I wear the same pair each weekend, be it hot climate or rain, they work so great. There is no difference in product, be it at the flying Tiger store or bought from a e-retailer. I would suggest, check both, e-space as well as your local market or a Mall, have patience and be on a lookout for the best price.

It leaves me to believe, give it a try you will find it cheap.

First try then buy!!!

Sometime ago I moved to a new apartment, like all others it required new things to be bought. My wife wanted to buy a good Bathroom Cabinet where we can keep our stuff and arrange small cosmetics too. As usual the search started with popular e-commerce websites and they had some really good suggestions. But, like all ladies have a habit to have good bargain, no matter what it is, she went on to try the same stuff she saw in a local market. To my astonishment, she bought the same Bathroom Cabinet, of the same brand, at around 50-60% lesser in the local market.

Below are the pictures of Bathroom Cabinet that we bought and put up.

To see the same stuff on e-commerce websites at a costlier price, makes me realize the huge risk cost involved. What if the buyer returns the goods within 30 days, what if he breaks some part and then returns, what if the material is lost; these all must be the questions in mind if sellers too. The pricing for some of the objects is obnoxiously high when we compare the prices on a website to the ones sold in local market. They have to include high profit margin, warehouse cost, price involved in shipping, huge risk cost etc.

Look at the same object on some e-retailers:
