First try then buy!!!

Sometime ago I moved to a new apartment, like all others it required new things to be bought. My wife wanted to buy a good Bathroom Cabinet where we can keep our stuff and arrange small cosmetics too. As usual the search started with popular e-commerce websites and they had some really good suggestions. But, like all ladies have a habit to have good bargain, no matter what it is, she went on to try the same stuff she saw in a local market. To my astonishment, she bought the same Bathroom Cabinet, of the same brand, at around 50-60% lesser in the local market.

Below are the pictures of Bathroom Cabinet that we bought and put up.

To see the same stuff on e-commerce websites at a costlier price, makes me realize the huge risk cost involved. What if the buyer returns the goods within 30 days, what if he breaks some part and then returns, what if the material is lost; these all must be the questions in mind if sellers too. The pricing for some of the objects is obnoxiously high when we compare the prices on a website to the ones sold in local market. They have to include high profit margin, warehouse cost, price involved in shipping, huge risk cost etc.

Look at the same object on some e-retailers:
